Numero Russia: Why did you choose to pursue a career as a model?

Johanna: I got scouted by a big agency in Milan while I was studying in university and decided to embark on the journey. I love fashion and being able to express myself creatively. I come from a small town in Germany where modeling isn’t something that most women have the opportunity to do, so I want to be an inspiration for others to chase their dreams regardless of how hard they seem to achieve.

Numero Russia: Have you always wanted to become a model?

Johanna: I loved to dress in fancy outfits and pose in pictures ever since I was a child. I didn’t imagine that I would become a professional fashion model per se until the industry approached me.

Numero Russia: What would you do if not modeling?

Johanna: I have a university degree in hospitality management. If I wasn’t modeling, I would work in the hotel industry. I like to work with people and experience different cultures.

Numero Russia: What is your greatest strength as a model?

Johanna: I understand that beauty is born inside me. It’s an energy that someone emanates, not just the physical outside appearance. I focus on staying true to myself while still adapting myself to the requirements of the shoot which helps me pose in a more genuine manner.

Numero Russia: What was your first great achievement in the fashion industry?

Johanna: My first printed cover was with a UK magazine in the beginning of my modeling career. Being on a printed cover is the dream of every model, and I was thrilled when it happened to me for the first time.

Numero Russia: What’s one of the most interesting shoots that you have done?

Johanna: I did a shoot in the spring of 2019 with a big photographer in New York City. We used the Manhattan landscape and the result was some really great pictures. I recently moved to NYC, so doing my first shoot there was a very special moment for me.

Numero Russia: How do you like to spend your free time?

Johanna: I like to spend my free time with my family, boyfriend and friends.

Numero Russia: What is your favorite place?

Johanna: There is no place like home! I love being at home in Fulda, Germany and at my second home in New York City. My favorite new place that I recently visited was Bali, Indonesia.

Numero Russia: Describe yourself in 3 words.

Johanna: Driven, Intelligent, Open-minded
